Theory Test

The theory test consists of two parts, a multiple choice section and a hazard perception test. In the multiple choice section, you are required to answer correctly 30 out of 35 questions. The hazard perception section consists of 14 video clips where you must recognise the hazards. The pass mark for this is currently 44 out of a possible 75. You will need to pass both parts successfully to complete your theory test.

Practical Test

Once you have passed you theory test and we both feel you are ready for your practical test, you can book this online at www.dsa.gov.uk or by calling 0870 0101372. The current price is weekday £48.50. Weekday evening and weekend £58.

You will require a one hour lesson prior to your test , the test itself will usually be at Lincoln or Gainsborough DSA Test Centre. The use of my vehicle will be made available.

Firstly you are given an eyesight test, then asked some vehicle safety questions. You will then be assessed on your driving ability including some of the manoeuvres we have covered in your lessons.
